Fias produces vanilla extracts and flavours from vanilla beans (conventional, organic and Fairtrade) that imports directly from Madagascar cooperatives.
Fias controls the entire supply chain from the raw material purchasing to the analysis of the finished vanilla product, in order to provide guarantees about the «authenticity» and constant quality.
To develop its own production of vanilla flavours and extracts, Fias has built up a close collaboration with its vanilla suppliers over the years with various initiatives:
- supporting Malagasy cooperatives by financing the purchase of green beans;
- with long-term contracts with cooperatives;
- becoming a supporting member of A. PRO. MA. ASSOCIATION OF MADAGASCAR PRODUCERS, association that provides sustenance and medical care to producers and their families.

We create flavors that are resistant to the thermal stresses involved in production processes. The main applications are in leavened dough – such as the traditional Italian panettone, pandoro and colomba, croissants, biscuits, and shortcakes.
There is always a bit of Italianness in our flavorings, but where we best express the panache typical of our country is ice cream.

Our story began with flavorings for drinks, and we have been supplying liquid flavors and emulsions to leading industries of the sector for over 50 years now.
In particular, we were involved in the creation of traditional Italian drinks like bitter, chinotto, and ginger.
We also supply flavorings and extracts for tea and drinks containing fruit juice, isotonic drinks, and instant drinks.
Savory food is a sector in which taste trends change quickly. Flavors are therefore fundamental for enhancing their taste and fragrance.
For this reason, we are constantly studying new aromatic solutions to enhance crackers and breadsticks, bring out the flavor of sauces, seasonings and seasoned oils, or to make cold cuts, snacks and ready-made meals even more tasty.

Pharmaceutical and neutraceutical products require pleasant, natural tastes. The flavors we produce for this sector help to mask off notes and are specially designed not to interfere with the active ingredients of the finished product.
